Business or Software Engineering: Which Is Right for You?
Compare what you will learn, the skills you will build and the career directions connected to each programme.
The International Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) Cambodia offers two pathways to a UK Bachelor’s degree: BSc (Hons) Business Management and BEng (Hons) Software Engineering. Both follow the same four stages and the same fees. The difference is what you study and the kind of work it prepares you for.

Three questions to ask yourself
- Which subject would I still enjoy in year three? Interest keeps you going when the work gets harder.
- Do I prefer people problems or technical problems? Both programmes involve both, but the balance is different.
- What kind of work do I picture myself doing? Look at the career directions above and see which list excites you more.
Career outcomes always depend on your experience, performance and local employment requirements.
