Bringing UK degrees to students in Cambodia
The International Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) Cambodia was established by IT Academy STEP Institute to deliver British qualifications in business and computing in Cambodia, in partnership with NCC Education.
Our mission
International education should be closer, clearer and more achievable
Many Cambodian students want an international degree but cannot relocate overseas for several years. IIHE Cambodia gives school leavers access to British qualifications while they stay in Cambodia. Students progress to a British Bachelor’s degree on our Phnom Penh campus, in small classes, with computer labs and an advisor who supports them from enrolment to graduation.
Our mission is to give Cambodian students with international ambitions a British education at an affordable price, and to prepare them for careers in Cambodia’s digital economy and abroad.
Established by IT Academy STEP Institute
New institute, experienced team
IIHE Cambodia was established by IT Academy STEP Institute, which has taught software development and digital skills to young Cambodians in Phnom Penh since 2015. It is the largest private IT institute in Cambodia accredited by the government.
IIHE Cambodia brings that experience to British qualifications in business and computing, delivered in partnership with NCC Education.
IT Academy STEP Institute has taught in Phnom Penh since 2015.
Students currently study full time at IT Academy STEP Institute.
MoEYSIT Academy STEP Institute is accredited by Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
What IIHE Cambodia does
We take responsibility for your local study experience
- Teach classes in person with qualified trainers
- Give students access to NCC Education’s online learning materials
- Register students and coordinate academic administration with NCC Education
- Organise official assessments and examinations
- Give every student an advisor, from enrolment to graduation
- Monitor progress and provide academic guidance
- Support students as they move into the final online UK degree stage
- Teach in small classes, with computer labs on campus
IIHE Cambodia is an NCC Education Accredited Partner Centre
Complete a British qualification that is recognised by employers and universities worldwide, without having to travel to the UK.
Our international pathway
British standards, connected from one stage to the next
NCC Education is a UK awarding body and global provider of British education. It works with a global network of 264 Accredited Partner Centres in 60 countries and was established as a computing initiative by the British Government in 1966. It is recognised by Ofqual, the qualifications regulator in England, as an awarding body of British qualifications.
NCC Education develops and awards the Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications. Through its university progression partnership, eligible students then move to the final top-up programme, validated and awarded by the University of Greater Manchester and delivered online by Western International College Online (WINC).

Our campus
A place to learn, ask questions and move forward
Our Phnom Penh campus provides classrooms, computer labs, study areas and access to the resources you need. Classes are small, and every student has an advisor who supports them from enrolment to graduation.
